About The Role
As a Mobile Developer at Castynet Studios, you will create cross-platform mobile applications that deliver native-quality experiences on iOS and Android. Working with React Native and Expo, you will build apps that range from consumer-facing products to business tools. This contract role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse projects. You will collaborate remotely with our design and backend teams to bring mobile experiences to life.
Responsibilities
- Develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Expo
- Implement pixel-perfect UI based on design specifications
- Integrate with RESTful APIs and handle offline data synchronization
- Manage app store submissions and releases for iOS and Android
- Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate test coverage
- Debug and resolve performance issues across devices
- Implement push notifications and deep linking
- Collaborate with the team through asynchronous communication
Requirements
- 3+ years of mobile development experience
- Strong proficiency in React Native and Expo
- Experience with TypeScript in mobile environments
- Track record of published apps on App Store and Google Play
- Understanding of mobile-specific UX patterns and guidelines
- Experience with mobile debugging tools and performance profiling
- Familiarity with Git and code review workflows
- Self-motivated with excellent time management for remote work
Nice To Have
- Native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development experience
- Experience with EAS Build and over-the-air updates
- Knowledge of mobile analytics and crash reporting tools
- Experience with real-time features (WebSockets, Firebase)
- Background in offline-first application architecture
